Information We Collect

We collect different types of information to provide and improve our Services:

PERSONAL INFORMATION (Provided by You):

• Account Information: Full name, email address, phone number (required for registration)

• Profile Information: Profile photo, date of birth, gender preference

• Address Information: Saved addresses for service delivery

• Communication Data: Messages exchanged with service providers, support tickets

PAYMENT & FINANCIAL INFORMATION:

• We use Razorpay as our payment gateway to process online payments securely

• Payment method details (card number, UPI ID, wallet information) are collected and processed directly by Razorpay

• We receive only transaction confirmation, payment status, and payment identifiers from Razorpay

• We do NOT store complete credit/debit card numbers, CVV, or banking passwords on our servers

• Transaction history and booking payment records are stored for service fulfillment and refunds

AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED INFORMATION:

• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (Android ID, Advertising ID)

• Log Data: IP address, app version, crash reports, feature usage statistics

• Location Data: Precise GPS location (only when you grant permission) to show nearby salons and calculate distances

BOOKING & SERVICE DATA:

• Service history: Past bookings, appointments, services availed

• Reviews and ratings you provide

• Preferences: Favorite salons, preferred stylists, service preferences

Location Data

Our app requests access to your device's precise location for the following purposes:

WHY WE NEED LOCATION:

• To display salons and barbershops near your current location

• To calculate distance and estimated travel time to service providers

• To help you find the closest available appointments

• To provide location-based search results and recommendations

HOW WE COLLECT LOCATION:

• We request ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION and ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION permissions on Android

• Location is collected only when you explicitly grant permission

• Location data is collected only when the app is in use (foreground)

• We do NOT collect location data in the background

YOUR CONTROL:

• You can deny location permission and still use the app with manual location entry

• You can revoke location permission anytime through your device settings

• Denying location permission will disable "nearby" sorting and automatic location detection

We do not share your precise location data with third parties except service providers you choose to book with.

Payment Processing & Financial Data

We use Razorpay (https://www.razorpay.com) as our payment gateway partner to process online payments securely.

PAYMENT METHODS SUPPORTED:

• Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay)

• UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.)

• Net Banking

• Wallets (Paytm, PhonePe, etc.)

HOW PAYMENT DATA IS HANDLED:

• When you make an online payment, Razorpay's hosted checkout securely collects the payment details

• Your card details, CVV, OTP, and banking credentials are entered directly on Razorpay's payment interface

• Razorpay states that it is PCI DSS certified for card transaction and payment-data security

• We receive only: Transaction ID, payment status (success/failed), amount, and last 4 digits of card (for display)

• Complete payment credentials are NEVER transmitted to or stored on StyleCliq servers

DATA WE STORE:

• Transaction reference ID (for order tracking and refunds)

• Payment amount and currency

• Payment status and timestamp

• Partial card identifier (last 4 digits only, for your reference)

• UPI ID format (for displaying payment method used)

REFUNDS:

• Refund requests for online payments are processed through Razorpay

• Refunds are credited to the original payment method

• Refund processing time depends on your bank (5-7 business days typically)

How We Use Your Information

• We share booking amount and order reference for payment reconciliation

WITH LEGAL AUTHORITIES:

ACCOUNT DATA:

• Deleted within 30 days of account deletion request (except as noted below)

BOOKING & TRANSACTION RECORDS:

• Retained for 7 years after the transaction (legal and tax compliance requirements)

• This includes payment records, invoices, and service history

COMMUNICATION LOGS:

• Customer support conversations: Retained for 3 years for service quality

• Marketing consent records: Retained as long as relevant for compliance

ANALYTICS DATA:

• Anonymized usage data: Retained indefinitely for service improvement

• Raw logs: Retained for 90 days for debugging and security

LEGAL HOLDS:

AFTER DELETION:

• Push Notifications: To receive booking reminders and updates - can be disabled in settings

HOW TO MANAGE PERMISSIONS:

• iOS: Settings > StyleCliq

• You can revoke any permission at any time

• Revoking permissions may limit certain app features

PUSH NOTIFICATIONS:

• We send notifications for: Booking confirmations, reminders, status updates, promotional offers

• You can customize notification preferences in app settings

• Promotional notifications can be disabled while keeping essential booking notifications
